Annual blog post time!

It would seem I have fallen into the bad habit of posting once a year and then falling into a blogging slumber, not to be seen again for at least another 365 days.

Catch up post. What's been going on by

Well, I am awake now!

In fact, I am so awake I even did a round-up post about my year. Feel free to go and read if you want to find out what I've been up to.

So, I am going to try and post more often. I know I say that all the time. I mean I'm not talking every day posts, that's crazy talk. I'll start small and aim for one a week and I'll see where I go from there. Deal?

Anyway, the reason for this post - apart from getting back on the blogging bandwagon - was to show you a couple of things.

Since moving to Hong Kong, my shopping habit has been curbed. Here's why:
1) There are a lot of designer shops in Hong Kong. I however do not  have a designer budget.
2) I may be the average size in the UK, but here I'm waaaaay above average.
3) I'm not great at dressing for warm weather. I much prefer dressing for cold weather.

Anyway, that's not to say I haven't bought the odd thing or two from High Street staples - H&M, Zara, and Monki. Thank the laaaawd for these imports. These are my go-to shops here in Hong Kong. Although, I am very excited about the newly opened J.Crew here.

Here are two of my favourite warm weather buys...

Zara: Swiss Dot Jute Espadrilles

Love love love these. I've decided to overlook the inevitable stink that will come from wearing espadrilles and plan to wear these A LOT.

Ice-cream shirt practically screams summer, right? Anyway I saw this in H&M and promptly bought it. Short story.
